Installation

You need to install the sidebar first according to the instructions given on the following page if you have Windows XP:

There's no need for special software if you have Windows Vista because it has direct support for gadgets in the sidebar.

First make sure that you have the required software for your Windows version.

Remove old versions first (If you have them):

  1. Right click the desktop and click on gadgets in the popup menu.
  2. Right click on all NetcamViewer Desktop gadgets and click on remove.
    Note: There can be multiple pages where you can find the NetcamViewer Desktop gadget.
    You can change pages by using the arrow's in the top left of the window.

Install the gadget as followed:

  1. Extract the file from the downloaded zip-file.
  2. Double click on NetcamViewer Desktop.
  3. Click on Install when a window pops up to tell you that the publisher of the gadget can't be verified.

Configuration

Normally you can leave it blank. The portnumber for most camera's is 80.

Please refer to the manual of your cameras to find out.

Right click the gadget when it's opened and click on options in the popup menu. You then can configure the gadget.

Choose the first vendor in the list if your vendor is listed more than once in the list. Try the next one etcetera if it doesn't work.
